I bought the truck knowing I would change a few things...
Okay, I have not done much but I have put allot of time, effort and money into my buddy! I try to maintain my truck as best I can. I don't call my truck a her, it or a him. My truck is my truck, My Buddy. We spend allot of time together so like me I like to keep my truck clean.

Oh yeah Modifications...

I have added steel skid plates that I had desinged with a local fabricator. Rancho RS 9000 shocks. These are adjustable and make sure you get RS9019 for the front and RS 9118 for the back for 2000 and newer. On the Quad cabs some have stated that they rub on the A arm just barely but not enough to be alarmed. It is a little tight since they mount upside down compared to the Stock shocks. Dual Flowmaster exhaust. All this time I thought it was just to make the truck sound louder and tougher. When I had these put on and custom dualed out the side, I noticed the difference right away in performance and sound. I had the custom bumper made and designed by Hanson Enterprise in Salinas CA. Wayne is the only custom fabricator for the Dakota's and Durango's. Save your money it is worth every penny. I had the torsion bars raised to level the front to back and to handle the extra weigh tof the new bumper. I had wayne install a Warn HS 9500i self recovery winch that I purchased separatly. Wayne also installed my stock Fog lights recessed within. I trimmed the front wheel well alittle to accomidate 33x12.5x15 General Mud grabbers that I got for a great price. Although I think it would be best to use 33x11.5x15 due to the frame rubbing ever so slightly on full turns. You really don't notice it but you see the marks on the frame so you know it is happening. I also run 31x10.5x15 Yokohama Mud tires. They are directional tires (only supposed to rotate in one direction). I have 2 sets of rims so every 3k miles I swap them out and scrub them down.

Oh yeah I almost forgot about these...
I think I had just got my Plates when this trucker pulling an empty 48 ft ocean container enters through the wrong gate. Drags his container just over the bumper and front right hand fender. I just happen to be the company photographer but I never thought I would be taking damage photo's of my truck at work! The driver denied he did this but the tire shows differently. Also the icing was the tire track that lead into the yard was clear so a couple of pictures pretty much wrapped up this claim and their insurance company could not deny it. By the way this was not one of our drivers. It was another companies driver that did this and just did not follow the signs in for trucks. If you look real close at the fender you will see a very small dent that was there prior to the accident. Can't really prove that it happened when the dealer had it for the recall fix but I know it did. But got it fixed!!!
