I remember the day I innocently went down to the dealership thinking I could just go to look at new trucks. I wanted to get a 2000 I think
just because I really wanted a New Truck!I managed to hide from the sales guys long enough to ask my most educated questions before they found me. The guy really could not
answer the main question, Is the Quad cab longer than the Club cab? He did not know and I only wondered because I knew I only had
a few inches to spare in the garage before the door would hit the bumper. The guy tells me here I'll give you some plates and you can
drive it home to see if it fits. Naw, I don't really think I want the Quad it has a smaller bed and I really do not need the extra doors since
this is primarily for driving to work and back. I want it to hold my Golf clubs, a passenger and my 4x4 gear.
So I find the one I am looking for and make the call to the wife. Not that we really needed or could afford the payment she knew that
this is what I had always wanted and we manage to get buy every month so she did not want to stand in the way of a me getting
this truck. So I signed away. I was able to pay it off back in September of 2001 and that is when I started to make the changes.
For the first year I searched for the items I wanted to get and saved money as best I could. I have to date added:
31x10.5x15 Yokohama Mud tires, Flowmaster exhaust Dualed out the sides, steel skid plates, Hanson Custom Bumper,
Warn HS9500 Self recovery Winch and misc. off road items. I also run 33x12.5x15 General Mudders. I rotate them all every 3000 miles.
